| We found this authentic
wrapper in a book about 18th century London, and had to put it to good
use. So, we started making powdered ink based on an authentic 18th
century recipe. Powdered ink was a very practical way to transport
ink, because you didn't need an inkwell. And when you needed some ink,
you only needed to mix what you actually needed. Our ink box contains
enough powder to make one fluid ounce of ink. That amount is about
what you would purchase in an art supply store in a modern ink bottle. |
