Confederate Documents

These are not "converted" U.S. documents. These are official Confederate documents, found in various regimental collections and in the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond. We plan on expanding our Confederate collection so that it will equal our U.S. document collection. Keep watching for more of these documents. Please note that where we refer to forms my number, the numbers come from the Army Regulations of the Confederate States, 1863 edition.

Kits

Papers of the Confederate Soldier  Papers of the Confederate Soldier (CWP201) - This kit includes five forms that would have appeared in your personal history if you had served until the surrender at Appomattox. After Several years of research, we finally found an original, verified Confederate Enlistment. The original Medical Discharge is printed on a light blue thin paper. If my great-grandfather would have had one of these passes he might not have been fined $10 for being AWOL around Fredericksburg in the Winter of 1862 (true story). $2.95, includes:
  • Enlistment
  • Medical Discharge
  • Regular discharge
  • Military pass
  • Appomattox parole

Confederate Adjutant's Kit  (CWP205) - We believe the kit below contains many of the forms necessary to run your unit at a weekend event. Compare the lists, we think you'll like what you see. Morning Reports for attendance, a Field Return for compiling all the attendance, Guard reports for assigning camp guards, Passes for leaving camp, Loyalty oaths for suspicious civilians to sign, and descriptive lists for individuals, in all, 18 pieces of paper for this low kit price. $7.00, includes:
  • 3 Morning Reports
